M. I. A. XXXO (or Acronym Overload)

My friend J claims to have never heard this song, which is a travesty, because it is 1) awesome 2) better than "Paper Planes" IMHO 3) she's one of the few rap/R&B artists I not only like but can physically stand to listen to. Possibly my favorite thing about this song is the Tarantino namedrop.

There is a great post on Rookie by Jenny about how much she loves M. I. A., which when I read it reminded me "IKR? She's great!" in case you're interested.

Playlist time

This mix introduces me to Angel Olsen, Arctic Monkeys (I'd been looking for the guys who did that "R U Mine" song) and reminded me that the Strokes are the best.

8tracks is great for listening to other people's playlists/mixtapes - you can't skip songs except 3 times per list is the catch, but it's perfect for curating and listening to other people's lists. I will have to try making my own soon - you basically have to upload your own music, since their "library" has basically nothing, but it's all legal because you can't download from it.
